the main character of this story is phoenix jackson: he was an old black woman. she was poor. but she was a humorous person.
i like her so much becouse she was a unic person even she was poor but she's still happy.
the story take place in the early morning in the out side Natchez, december. i love the setting so much
the story tell us about the human right in the world
it use the simbolism because in this story use the symbol of bird to be a main charecter
the most important event for me is whjen elisa start to give upin reaching her goal to be free from the man that dominate the society

character in the story:
shierly adams is Neddy's former misterss. when neddy arrive at home, she weas surpprised with a young man. i don't like the cvharacter of the story because there is no character develove of the amin charecter

the story has setting in affluent suburb of wenchester country' in new york. truely i don't like the setting of the story because the seting did't not give something new. it just only the one direct place.

i think the story tel litle bit of the good mesege. so it can't give the true good story.

the style is metaphore. it tells about the conditon of the problem in home

the important event is when the house is fired becauser of thier own mistakes

the narrator; is the son he is the p[erson who has a black side in his life. he always disapoited with his chilhood that only spent thier time in the chicken farm.

the father: he was a cheerful farmhand. he was up thye 35 years old. but unforutnately when he got married. he was change because of her wifw



the mopther: she was the school teacher. but she was quite introphet. and she just like the person who has no wish in her life.



from all the character i like the father character because he was a responsible person. especialiy for his familly. he always try to make her familly happy with all his power

this story had setting in chickhen farm across the railroad station in ohio. i rather dislike it because it was not like what i want. so i cann't use my imagination about that place. and the author doesn't give the detail of the setting time or place so i cann't fell the taste.

the story tell us about some good thing because it tell us how to be a good husband and father. so it will give the advice for all the father. and it use the personification style in sending the story.

the important event in this story is when the father are not able to be a successful person. but he still keep spirit to make thier familly happy

character:
Elisa Allen : she is a hard worker woman, but she is a bad tempered also.
Henry : he is an arrogant husband. but he love his wife so much.

from all the charecter i like elisa allen because she is the hard worker and never give up to maintain her hobby to plant even her husband disagree with it.

this story had taken place in the salinas valley in California. around the salinas river exactly. beside thet that storr had taken place in the elisa garden. ilike the setting so much because the setting was so beautiful. and make want to be there.

i think the story send us the good massage because it give us the story about the woman in america in callifornia exactly. how thier stuggle for thier life so it can be the good example for all the woman in our country

and beside that he story is so reasonable because it is the reflection of the strugle of the woman in society. then the language style of the story is simile and personification.

for me myself,the most important event in this story was when elisa and her husband, henry, had a dinner because at that time they tried to solve thier problem as a family

Mrs Grimes : stong woman, patient and can like alone.
Jack brimes : selfish cruel and unroyal person.
from that character i really dislike with jake grimes, because as man he has no responsiblity to his familly. he never pay attantion to his wife. and beside that he is the rapist also. coz he like to rape another girl even he has had a wife.

this story happen in atown of midlle west ' i think i like with the settingof this story because just has one setting that make reader didn't difficult to uderstand this story where was this story happened.

3. does the story tell about the good things
answer:
i thing thhe story give us the hood influence because this story tell about a woman that has to struggle for her life. and try to survive without her husband or her familly. and the story give an advise for all the woman to stuggle for thier life.

4.i think this story reasonable becuse it can happen in our live also happen toevery body . the figurative is simile

5.i think the event in this story is important because by that event all of woman know that they have to survive even without husband .
